As a 3rd generation Miami native, James has a diversified background in private banking and all aspects of Real Estate finance. Most recently James was the Senior Vice President and Director of Residential Lending at TotalBank then opened the South Florida market for LoanDepot Retail and currently serves as the Area Manager for Bay Equity Home Loans. During his career he has personally originated more than $800 Million in residential loans and has lead teams that have originated more than $2.3 Billion in both residential and commercial loans in the South Florida market. His work history includes being a founding partner of Elements Capital Funding a traditional mortgage lender and LuxLev Capital a boutique fund that provided private loans in the wake of the financial crisis of 2008. He has enjoyed tenure at several community banks and continues to serve the real estate community by helping both domestic and international buyers execute on residential purchase and refinance transactions and realize their American Dream. James regularly speaks at industry events and serves on expert panels as a thought leader in South Florida in the residential mortgage space. He is the immediate past President of the Miami Chapter of the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals and is currently a Continuing Education instructor for FAMP and serves on the FAMP Executive Committee as the State Secretary. He is the proud father of a 15-year-old girl, avid cyclist and golfer.
